Originally built in the 1600's as a farmhouse, the Royal Oak was later converted to farm workers cottages. Around the 1850's it received a licence to become a beerhouse.

 Nearly 160 years later this attractive thatched pub with its Ham stone walls, flag stone floors and solid oak beams serves more than beer. A wide range of ale & wines compliments an extensive home cooked menu.

There is also a large car park and secure children’s play area along with a spacious patio which makes this the ideal family pub.

  Food is served from 12.00pm-2.00pm and 6.30pm-9.00pm Tuesday-Friday.

 Off the A303 at the Hayes End roundabout exit to the Esso Garage. Take the first left after the garage signposted Over Stratton. The Royal Oak is in the village on the left.
